Which way to go? (Probably not a good title for a wannabe trucker!)

Pride is sounding better all the time :) Maybe I'll suck it up and get my CDL here in town.

@Snowshoes I tried to call the recruiters with a few questions, but it seems no one was there today :) What would be the best time to call them for a quick chat, and which one would you suggest I talk to?

Nobody around on a Friday at noon? Sounds like a red flag to me. One thing for sure, dear, you are going to get quite an education. I really hope you make it, ( yes, I was warned about my negativity here) America needs you, choose well.

I don't mind negativity. I equate it to the work I do now. When you are breaking in, you are full of hope, realize you know nothing and you stick with it. About 3 months in, you think you know everything. About 6 months in, you realize you know nothing. And about 2 years in, you have a decent amount of knowledge. Ask me something now, after 32 years, you are likely to get honest, snarky, possibly sarcastic answers. Definitely nothing I would have said 25 years ago :D Usually it's "I have forgotten more about this business than you will ever know". So I get it. And honestly, I like those kinds of answers. I call it realism.

Call after 9 mountain, I'll tell them both to expect a call. I'd talk to Brian or Flynn.

So I guess recruiting shouldn't get lunch? Or it could have been a meeting. Or maybe they were talking to other drivers

    "semi" retired
@"semi" retired lived in Milwaukee for years; he's suffering from PTSD because of that. It'll take him a while to unwind and become relaxed and laid back in small town Colorado.

    201 and Snowshoes Thank this.
