White's is going down hill

Most are going down hill rapidly. You would think that a decent truck stop could turn a good profit. If one had old time service they would get a lot of revenue. Heck; if I had one I would have a medical staff. Doctor, dentist and chiropractor. Give the drivers a good reason to spend money and they will. Look how many throw away money for nothing.

 

I would. They can't be no worse than military docs, or dentist, or VA docs.

 

Most drivers rave about the food at Lee-Hi but I`ve always thought everything at Lee-Hi was overrated.Haven`t eaten at Whites since the sale.According to Whites employees the new owner has spent about a half-million on remodeling so far.
I have recently spent my hard earned money in the shops at both places.Good 2nd shift mechanics at Whites but labor is too high.Left Lee-Hi knowing I had been screwed.Both times were emergency situations.Even though I get treated fairly at Whites,I will try not to spend any money at either place in the future.Still planning on going to the truckshow at Lee-Hi in June,but won`t be spending any money there.
Nowadays most drivers just use the truckstops as their 10-hour break without much spending.All of us are saving money where we can I guess.I`m local to these truckstops but my favorite was the Sunshine at exit 200.Hope someone builds another truckstop there as Mr.Berkstresser could use some competition.

 

Yeah, I posted about this a little while back....hadn't yet eaten there, though, since the sale.

And, now, I for sure won't.

Turned into just ANOTHER high-priced, low-quality truck stop. ***sigh***

I stopped at Whites for the first time in years and was disappointed to see all of the guns gone and the all you cane eat spaghetti was gone too.

 

They have those at the Pilot in Indianapolis, and the Flying J in Dallas....they're called lot lizards.
