The only thing hijacked is this thread.

Folks can do good on their own. You don't like it, you say they're wrong, etc.

    Everybody heard you. Move on

I’m pretty sure a 5th wheel on a truck can pull many types of trailers and isn’t limited to boxes and flatbeds. You can choose the path to take. I chose to sell a truck and learn to haul fuel. This is my second time of stepping away from ownership. The first time was in 2016 when I was tired of hauling livestock. I went back to Montana for a while, went and worked in Hawaii for 4 months, then came back and bought a truck again. Will I own another one in the future? Who knows? Probably. Nothing ever stays the same. If you own a truck and running spot freight on your own authority isn’t going so well then maybe swallow your pride and lease to a carrier that has the work. Better yet, lease to carrier that has specialized work that not everyone wants to do. Pull a tank. Do hazmat. Do food grade. Lots of options out there that are above average pay.

I did some changes, but obviously you don't get it. What is happening for the last 3 years is not ok, it's intentional destruction of the industry by the government.

3 years? It’s been happening for 40 years.

Problem is it’s not just this industry. It’s been happening in every facet of our lives. Glad I’m closer to the end than the beginning and not leaving any kin behind. I’m the last one and I’m going to out gunz blazing.

    Enjoy your journey…

It’s been since 1980, it’s more noticeable since Covid because of the government money.

Again I will ask, what is your solution?
