You've done a heck of a job of putting yourself into the right position to find the spot that fits you best... from making the move to the oil patch....to finding and working the pizza gig for all it was worth... to landing a job. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Let the haters hate. You've done well.

Wymon, Chibob, LB.CAL and 1 other person Thank this.

    UPDATE...

    Okay guys

    Drug screen was Friday.
    Results came Monday.

    Filled out Employee packet Tuesday.

Just took all my safety training today.

I am in a truck tomorrow.

From the looks of it, we are definitely needing drivers cause the company is expanding its services very quickly here in the Permian.

The yard I work out of is the largest in the Company and they have over 34 yards nation wide.

    Fuel and Lubricant Distribution.

Frac side where I work has doubled in the past few months and will double again by the end of the of the year as long as we can find drivers.

There are new drivers being trained every week. There was four of us today doing our safety stuff.

The company is also hiring helpers.

This is a great opportunity for a non CDL worker to make over $74K annual.

If you get your permit, the company will help train you and get your CDL.

Once you get your CDL, tanker & HAZMAT then you will be making the $120k-$140k as a driver.

I wish I would have known about this opportunity six months ago because I may not have spent almost $5k on the truck driving school. I am still content.

This will likely be my employer for years to come.

I like how the people in the office communicate with each other.

I like how they are super busy.

    Anyway.

I will begin my training in a truck tomorrow morning. I will get uniforms, respirator, hardhat, safety glasses, H2S monitor ect. tomorrow.

I am off right now to get me a carry cooler for my food and water.

I will keep you all posted.

Loving the new job, will love even more the pay checks.

My life will be spent working, but a week off every month or so is not out of reality.

The guys I train with hit 115-140 hours a week.

The company has more than doubled its contracts for frac fueling in the past three months.

    Lots of new guys.

The competition can't keep up and we should be doubling again by the end of the year.

The guys who train me say I am a very lucky guy to land this job and they are right.

Work load is easy, paperwork is easy.

We spend three hours to get to the frac site and three to get back everyday. The company has close jobs too, but the terminal manager seems to want me broke in well, pulse these dudes I am with are good.

One has worked in the transport industry for many many years. Says he has been on mining and crude hauling and this job is way better pay and way easier.

Another guy was working for a competitor whom you all know for sure. The company began cutting back hours about three months ago cause of a lawsuit they came under. The guy worked there 2.5 years and made one hell of a name for himself there.

Put in an app here and is loving the management, says its better pay too.

The company is needing local drivers.

I do get a bonus for referral but don't need it.
If any of you wanna get more info regarding the company just let me know.

If you come in, fill out the app, they will usually get you an interview set up for within a couple days.
I had a hair follicle test to pass too.

Today I work 10am-3am and am heading to NM.

Many clients cater food at the site.

Equipment is newer and in better shape than the competitor says my trainer

During my hiring process and time spent in the office i took notice of how the terminal manager and the dispatch run the office.
I am #### impressed witj the professionalism and excellence of the office workers even more so the terminal manager

I have ran a couple business and worked many jobs...my terminal manager is #### Impressive.

There is always going to be miscommunication , but i understand that of i fricken follow protical and properly fill our my paperwork then it will make things run very smooth.

I am glad to be here

One year ago i was reading forums from afar, now i am the guy writing the post.

Funny too cause i was always wondering that by the time i made it to the patch, would there still be work.

To all those who wonder the same...i say dont worry. Be professional, clean cut and excellent. Choose the field you want and the area that you think is best, then GET THERE.

    I have got to go.

I am on the clock but we are in the shuttle so it is not a.major issue except my straight talk service looses internet access. Verizon has the best signal. I get unlimited everything and piggy back off every provider, but seems that Verizon dont allow me to use there data.
So when this months prepaid access is up, i am getting verizon
    .
I still get signal where i am but only for texts and calls.

I can respond via internet once back on the road around midnight.

ALSO FOR THE MODERATOR I WONT LIKELY GET ANY BONUSES FOR REFERALS OF GUYS I DONT ACTUALLY KNOW.
My purpose in writing this is to help my company woop the competitions ##### by getting good drivers.

Oh, and do they pay relocation? Maybe
Per diem,...only if you are hired through the company in another terminal. This will also get you housing.

They will be much more willing to hire guysvwitjout experience driving if they are local cause they pay alot more in expense for the guys the ship in from out of town and to take a chance on a newbie may be greater.

This job wont be for everyone.

Also, if there are husband and wife teams, it MIGHT be possible to have your own site and fuel together

I cant confirm this just yet from management but the guy training me said it could be very possible for me and my wife if i prove myself over time and knowing the twrminal manager he could very well go for it.

Every truck is a bobtail or short truck with baffeled tanks.

MANY are automatic transmissions and are almost always ran by two workers. One driver, who does paperwork , drives and fuels plus a helper who asists with the hose.

Oh let me tell you a little about what we do...

We keep fuel in the frac equipment
Everything from pumps, mixers, lights, tractors ect.

Fracing is done in stages tha last about two hours each
When they finish fracing a stage, the engines are turned down and pressury drops in the hoses.

We put on our PPE's, top off the tanks, stick our tank comparments used and record the fuel fuel pumped.
Usually four to five stages in a shift.
Inbetween stages we sit in the trucks AC or heat.

End of shift, we tally up the ticket and give a copy to the frac bosg

When we get back to the yard, we turn in our paperwork, clock out and go home.

The guys here tell me that sometimes it gets tpring but every Friday spirits are renewed when you see the paycheck.

    Easy as that

Man I just spent about 30 minutes writing up a post that was awesome.

    Lost the whole #### thing

Well I don't have much time to rewrite it.

    I will in the morning.

    Bottom line, job is great.

Management is great, equipment is great.

I am going to be working a 17 hour shift today, did 18 yesterday.

Three hours spent driving to location, three back to the yard.
    I am trading in NM

So much to say, had it all then lost it.

Job is easy, will tell tomorrow.

Won't have much internet access till I am back on the road.

Verizon is the way to go.
I have straight talk and piggy back off all carriers but Verizon gives me no data.

Will get Verizon after my prepaid month is up.

I am very impressed with the terminal manager and everyone in the offices.

    Will post later.

Just read this whole thread, way to go! Very inspirational! Does this company have any openings in south Texas for non-CDL?
