Bump. Just letting all the tire-kickers out there know, the work and the big $$$ is here for the taking.

I took the OP up on his offer and went in with him to his company to drop off an app. Had to wait a month to get an interview because of how busy they were, but they called me an hour after I interviewed to offer me the job. I did background checks, drug tests, etc and started a few days later.

Well, I've now been on the job for a few weeks and am averaging about $3k/week or a little over $2k/week after taxes. Not bad for a newbie fresh out of CDL school who's doing pretty easy work. ;)

What's crazy is that there is so much high-paying work here that there is a lot of turnover with drivers because a lot of them jump ship for even HIGHER-earning positions. Hell, I've already been tentatively offered several other six-figure jobs just from talking to people around town or on frac sites, including from a rapidly expanding wireline company and a well-known crude hauling outfit.

Anyways, I don't say any of this to brag, just letting you guys know that if you get out to West Texas and have a valid CDL-A w/ haz-mat and tankers, you can pretty much write your own ticket.

How'd you swing two weeks off so soon? Are those kind of gaps built in to your schedule or did you request time off?

    Schedule is flexible.
The guy who trained me runs a 2 month on 2 week off without pay.

    I chose the same.
Of course this scheduling is always requested in writting.

Will run 7 weeks now and take at least one week off to visit my family in Missouri before school starts.
