Who are the best dispatch services to use for and Owner Operator?

Not being a know it all but if you need a dispatch service why not just lease on to a carrier and let them dispatch you!! If you are planning on going completely independent but insist on paying someone to look out for your best interest!! You will get plenty of calls as soon as you request your dot number!!

 

I remember hearing to read the dispatch service contract carefully because some say you cannot cancel the contract with them until a year or so. Apparently you cannot legally stop using them if it turns out you don’t want their service anymore. You want the ability to cancel the contract anytime.

I’ve also noticed some small fleets use dispatch services. It certainly beats the 20-30% charge per load that carriers like Landstar are requiring. Dispatch services cost 2-5% and extra if you want load factoring.

 

I’ve never used them before. I gotta say I am scared of them. Hahaha.
