Dont know. Never drove for them but everyone of their drivers are happy. Least ones I talk to.

Avoid Smith transportation like the plague. They are out of Roaring Spring, PA.

It's not always a case of good vs. bad companies. A lot if not most of them are all the same. Its basically the job and lifestyle that isn't right for most people. So at the end of the day, its not the company in most cases, but the person just not being right for this profession to begin with.
Tac-Lift, gntorres61, JojoTheTruckDriver and 4 others Thank this. -
I'm like 85% happy with Werner.
My first truck was beat. Broken down too much.
They got me into a 16 kw. Granted the auto, but I've gotten just under 30k miles of flawless operation in 3 months with 15 or so days off.
Flawless, other than a broken bolt on the air leveling valve.
Most days I get run good.
This week has been a nightmare. Load planners are all over the place.
I have an excellent fm. No really, he's been nothing but nice to me.
There's room for improvement.
They've been revamping their training program.
Awesome, as while I understand the need for team operations the student for 2 weeks should be driving as a solo and learning backing maneuvers in real world situations.
They've increased their pay across the board.
I know you'll laugh, but I get 35 cpm plus stop pay. Plus some detention pay. Some. Needs to really start 1 hr after appointment time. Really does.
Good freight lanes usually. They haven't really gotten me west of I 35.
I'm an East coast guy. I really want to run some west.
I stay out for 5 weeks at a time.
My choosing. My fiance rolls with me.
$12 a month rider policy.
They run you if you run.
I run. I've had a few 3600+ mile weeks.
Keep in mind when you say that's not possible that I run nights, in the mountains, with a foot of unplowed snow on the ground, and keep the truck upright.
Anything less than 550 miles a day is unacceptable to me. I don't care how I get the miles, I want them. Shag hauls, splits, swaps, hazmat, doubles... I don't care.
One week all I did was pa,oh,wv.got 3300 miles just moving vans from one drop yard to the next.
Didn't #####, just did what they assigned.
This week is the first week my fm and I were at odds. When I talked to him today, I could tell he was having just as bad of a day as I was.
So I told a joke, got him laughing, went on with my day.
My biggest problem is my mouth.
And social media with said mouth lol.
BMI and hair testing piss me off quite frankly.
I spoke my mind on a social media outlet of theirs.
May explain the ####ty week.
Stay safe.JojoTheTruckDriver, Grijon and morpheus Thank this.
