Not doubting anything you said above, just stating that I dont see how an m2 with a L9 bare chassis weighs 14000 thats all, I am well aware of haul and tows, ran 4 of them way back in 2001 used Sterlings.

    Hey Kansas,
Any chance at all you remember the wheelbase on those trucks?
    How long is that bed?
I wanna make sure I am looking at the right trucks for this build.

Is 24 1/2 the standard bed length?
In the quote they sent me they call it a 22HT SSW Exttreme Haul and Tow bed setup to haul 22' RV. Wondering if the bed is 22 ft long standard and you asked for longer or do they build a 24 1/2 ?

Mark at Shipshe will probably build you whatever you want, but a 22' bed should be enough to get a car on the lift/tilt and a full size pickup below, just remember, the longer the wb and bed, the more it will weigh?

That was several years ago, but I "think" the beds on mine were 24' I'm pretty sure I was around 14' from BBS (bumper to back of sleeper) to CL of rear wheel and I think the beavertail was 10' so if your ext cab m2 is a B to BOS of 130" (11') and you are let's say 12' from sleeper wall to cl of rear axle that would be 23' total, now subtract the front wheel axle cl to ft bumper, (I think m2s are around 44" setback) so,,,,23x12= 276" minus 44" ( ft ax setback) and the wb would be around 232" S/A you just have to decide on bed length first, then find out rear beavertail length, subtract that from total bed length add in your 86" (back of sleeper to cl of front axle) and you can adjust your wb to bed length from there.

I've only spoken to Kim so far.
The weights I posted were for 290-310 wheelbase. Trying to figure out if the 240s where long enough. 240s are used for rollbacks and I can find them easier.
I wanna be able to have a full 40 ft truck with the extensions open. I'd hate to miss a load cause Im missing a foot or two.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

This is very helpful, thanks buddy. Haven't sat down to do the math yet but seems like the 240" wheelbase would suffice and they are easier to find. I'll do the exact math later today.

My haul and tow is 24 1/2'. You will NOT get a car and pick up truck on. Two Traverses will barely fit.

Is the 24 1/2 with extensions?

I'm getting the full lift, not the tilt lift.

That makes sense then. You will be able to get a pick-up truck loaded.
