I live in the panhandle of Florida.
I will soon have 6 months of "recent experience".
I know a year is better but I work for CR England and they do not deserve my presence or anyone else s presence.
I would like to find a company that pays over 40 cents a mile.
    I prefer not to lease.

The company does not have to be out of FL but they have to be willing to get me home every 3-4 weeks

I guess I am asking for $1000 a week without killing my self.
More than Reasonable home time expectations from myself.
    Good benefits would not hurt.

I have a doubles endorsement but not hazmat or tankers not that I could not get them. I am a reasonably intelligent person so I can pass the test along with having a clean background.

Thanks for any help out there.

You'll have to read around the site. The basic theme for the past year is how aweful the industry is right now. Some of the flatbedders are hitting 1k rarely, but that's more work than you sound like you want. Even if the base pay is there, the miles just aren't.

Jobs alone are scarce right now, so if you intend to leave at least make sure you have a firm pre-hire before giving notice. Also read up on the company to get an idea of when they actually consider you hired. Some companies will train you for weeks then cut you loose and say you were never hired.

i would also like to add that IMO, your pay expectations are a little high for only 6 months exp.

w/ that amount of driving exp. you could expect up to 34 cents p/m based on what i have been looking at for solo OTR.
