Indeed. That's what makes cardboard so appealing. Use it a couple times and toss it!

Just got hit with ifta/irp audit. What is the max penalty/fine/interest if I give them zero documents and just pay them AGAIN to leave me alone?

Each state has their own rules. You'd probably be better off asking them directly.

Cardboard works really good, I've been crawling under trucks for 50 yrs. My shop leaks, like a lot. No roof or sides on it.
This weekend was tough for me, I did my service work on Sat as usual. Problem is it turned cold outside, 40 degrees F, at least cold for this time of the year.
I didn't have any cardboard so got under it on the bare ground. Did my thing for 6 hrs. Got cold in my kidneys, the pain Sat. evening was horrible, not the first time getting this. Tough for me to learn these things. Wife had some penicillin pills so I popped a cpl. of them in me and felt not too bad yesterday, still sore but getting better.
I never get this agony in my kidneys when I use cardboard between me and the ground. I get caught every year at this time. Had no cardboard Sat. morning.
    Yeah, I know slow learner.

Go get yourself some cardboard, old man! Why torture yourself? Tons of little ailments like that are creeping up on me too.

    Leave you alone?!
A guy who I know well, had IRP audit about 10 years ago or so, and got hit with $5 000 for not having odometer readings on the trip reports for the period he was inspected. Now, it was 10 years ago and only about missing odometer readings but you want to give them nothing...I think they will look at you like someone who is not at all serious about that stuff and very ignorant too. They will suspend your IFTA or IRP and you can't be on the road until you pay the due fuel taxes and fines which my hurt like ....
