I do at least double that most every time I book from CHR or TQL. The trick is I only book about 1 out of dozens of possible loads from them. Not every load is hot and has to go. Those are the majority of them at a $1.50 or worse and so I pass up on them.
281ric and Steeleandsonfarms Thank this. -
Same here you need to know when to FOLD dealing with most brokers and the low $ loads but there are also high $ loads that you can get from them if everything lines up .
281ric and rollin coal Thank this. -

And this was why iasked about leased on I dont find my loads company does and dont get me wrong some are great but most avg around 1.13 to 1.25 to me after counting empty and loaded I know that its better than a few companies that pay all miles most tend to be 1.02 to 1.10. Then I may get one thats $9/mile but those are really short lol or had a couple that came out to .90 I told them for that I would deadhead home and they have never gave me one from there again. Just wondering what leased flatbed make if averaged on a per mile. On good things is I own the truck and owe nothing on it so no payment there to worry about. Heck have one sitti . G getting on my nerves as it wont take much to get it rolling again just not seeing where a driver and I could make anything off it.

On avg u will not find the best loads on a load board, some brokers are known for being cheap. My stars never line up with tql or chr, i can't remember the last load I hauled for them. Our agent freight pays very well, am seeing very good rates on the board's.

In general the problem with "per mile rate" is that you are looking at them in a vacuum. Fuel discounts, plates, permits, tolls, etc can or can't be paid and in one persons world that has to pay for everything they could be low but someone that gets everything paid for the rate is solid.
But unless those numbers are not including fuel that is awful in any world.
An O/O running dry van with full dispatch on percentage with everything covered should be seeing $1.60 on all miles to the truck. And in these times of rising rates, unless the drive is stuck on long miles, they should see much better.Steeleandsonfarms Thanks this.
