I have a question about working through a temp agency.
This was my first job. I was hired by a temp agency in a hurry for a specific contract with a carrier. It lasted a week and a half. There might be more, not sure yet. The temp agency paid me. All I send them is my time to be paid. I sent the DVIR and my daily hours worked and miles to the carrier. It is not really a log and no one has collected my logs. I don't know who does the DOT stuff like drug tests.
Who do I really work for and who should have the records?
If I want to reference this in future job applications who do I give them?
Who is my real employer, working for temp agency

You work for the temp service. You're being contracted out like a sub-subcontractor.

Concur, the temp agency is your actual employer. Which doesn't mean the people whose truck you drove can't provide references. But you were an employee of the temp agency

The temp agentcy is your employer until the job ends or the company that they have you at makes an offer and hires you.
