I saw a dry Haz team load NY to AZ for 9k last week. Are you talking about a megas load board or what?

With the frozen seafood it was 2000 to Detroit (sometimes starting in Cleveland), 2600 to chicago and 3k to Wisconsin (usually Milwaukee area).

can I get a definition? Word is not in my vocabulary

Supply and demand is all it is. The east coast esp the north east is full of consumers. We don't produce much so you'll always get a good rate going in but getting out again is a different story. Now you have a bunch of trucks competing for a load going back west.
Back haul isn't in my vocabulary either. -
You have a bunch of fleece operator company’s that pay loaded and empty. Do you think they take money out of their pocket or take the cheap load.
Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
I would rather run empty. Better MPG, and 0 cargo risk if the reefer breaks. More chance to break on a 10 day run than a 2 day run. $5000 deductible, $2000 in fuel, $1000 maintance... nah, ill just run empty before I run less than $2 a mile reefer.
