Who do you think will stay strong and who do you think will need to park drivers?

Hopefully the economists are wrong and we we sneak by a economic downturn but if they're right, who do you want to be working for?

None, like Slim Shady said the bottom of the board at all LTL's will suffer. LTL's are already doing furloughs. And leaving drivers at home on a regular basis. The bottom few guys on our road board are lucky if they drive once a week.

The above thinking is mostly why none of my earlier posted leads were LTLs. :(

KAG said that they filled the position. They have gasoline open but the pay was a little low.
Loves seems to be great but the nights with midweek off would be really hard on the wife.
Marathon oil looks great and I'm really interested in that one but no response yet and no phone number to call.
I'm thinking of talking to Air Products.
Oil work like Marathon looks like it'll get me to our goals but I'm trying to find out more information.
LTL a short while ago was a great place to be but like others have said it looks like a slow down is coming and I'd be the low man on the totem poll. Been there and it sucks.

    Above--you mentioned Air Products.

If there is an Air Products facility nearby, and it has a bulk tanker fleet--then I would definitely submit an app &/or give them a call.

I don't know if it's my area or what, but FedEx Freight has lost so much market share they are only in town one or two days a week.

My ODFL rep was in last week, and she mentioned that many of her accounts have really slowed down. Fortunately, we aren't one of them.

Not sure if they are the best but there's probably an opening at XPO in Fridley.
Saw a driver last night 100 yards from his pup he lost on the ramp to 94 east..ouch.
Made it 15 miles or so from the yard.
