When I was a rookie running on dedicated account for them, I thought I had it pretty good. My bills were paid, and I had extra money for most things.
...but then you start looking at your lifestyle, home ownership, retirement...
Schneider can be a great career if you work it right (owner op, Training Engineer, etc.), But the vast majority of people will leave to get ahead.
I'm still haunted by the guy who ran the dedicated account I did. He'd been on it 20 years, and was making the same amount I was after two years...but he didn't worry about it, because that was really great money downstate.
I guess I have just always wanted more.
Who is the best mega?

I guess for some its down to life philosophy and financial need. Me. I got paid for vehicles, bills are paid, I am paying down the loans on "higher education" that I have fairly quickly and my house. I got fed up with chasing more when it usually is coupled with more headaches. Either its they want you to give a lot more effort for barley more pay with a lot more attitude thrown at you......or ....you just end up with more un used crap at home you have to find ways to store or get rid of at some point. Being a person that doesn't keep things around that aren't used often enough to justify keeping, even today I am looking around at all the crap I have acquired and starting make a list of things to get rid of because they aren't used and taking up space.
I'm not saying I'll likely retire there. However someone will have to offer more- for less. I talk to a a friend that is like you and chases more on the constant. Even though he is technically retired he is still chasing after that more that he will never get enough of. We have good conversations that tend to give both of us balancing and interesting perspectives at times. He tries to teach me about financial avenues, and I try to teach him how to tame the chaos.LtlAnonymous and MrCompton734 Thank this. -
