I'm sure market forces will come into play, but as the market moves, so will the players.
Right now, it would make no sense to try a power a building with a diesel generator if there is electric service available, but at a certain cost point it would. If/when that happens, using a single diesel generator could power the charging station while using less fuel and creating less emissions.

I’d also be curious if there were any subsidies or incentives from the government associated with these 100 trucks they put on the road. If so then all that would need to be figured in to see if they run cheaper then diesel.
That being said, I like watching the technology develop. I also enjoy seeing what Edison is doing up in Canada now that they have a hybrid built and operation. Hopefully their model takes off for vocational trucks and maybe even converting existing highway trucks to hybrids.Siinman, Magoo1968, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
