I bought the seat with the back cycler. It really works well. I can't use it, though. It relaxes me so much that I want to go to sleep. Not the best thing while driving. That's kind of a minus for me. That's one of the reasons I bought the seat, was for the back cycler. IT works good, I just can't stay awake while using it.
The seat itself is pretty comfy, but I don't like the armrests. They never feel even to me. I like the Sears arm rests that have the screw type adjustment.
The backs of the National have a weird bow in them that I don't like, either.
Also, the two wheels on the right side of the seat that adjust the height of the front and back of the bottom of the seat suck. They are hard to adjust while going down the road and they will also occasionally fall, making you adjust them again. Really annoying.
The back of the seat has some play in it that ticks me off, too.
It's still 2,344,327 times better than the Seats, Inc. piece of shiiiiit that I had in it before.
I'd probably go with a Sears again, if I were to keep the Shaker much longer. Sure wish I could find a seat that has a low back on it.
Who makes the best seat?

I wish I could still buy a Comfort-Ride seat... but they didn't survive the recession... they were very pricey but oooooooh so comfy.

What every you do stay away from the Bostrom wide ride seat the most uncomfortable seat i ever had, junk IMO. I have yet to finded a seat i truely love. My Pete stock seats have bin the best, Nationals i believe.

I guess it all depends on how you are built. I just noticed the poster above said to stay away from these seats. My Mack I bought came with them from the factory. I loved them for the 600000 miles I ran the truck.

I had no idea Bostrom had been sold to Accuride...

The factory seat in my truck is OK, but want to smack whoever took the right side armrest off before I bought it. Need to find one, just do not want to call Pete for it as it will probably cost as much as a new seat mentioned above.

Here's how I look at it...........
As a company driver, you take what the truck has and sit in it.
YOU own your truck......you spend HOW MANY hours in the drivers seat a day?????????
Do yourself a favor...bite the bullet and give yourself and your arse an early Christmas present.
Kinda like a new mattress........after a good nights sleep........PRICELESS.
It's money well spent in my opinion........those Elite seats are mighty comfy. -
LBZ Thanks this.
