    ...Kenworth of all places.
They were the cheapest and then then I told them they were on sale in a WI KW flyer for
$699 each. The parts people were not aware of their own flyer items.....

Iowa 80 sells this for around $900 something I think when we last visited there...my wife flipped thinking I spent that much on them. I had to eventually show her the receipt to prove it.:biggrin_25521:

    KW part number:
    35111NTBSNSN - SEAT-ATLAS ELITE80 H8 B
    List $839.99
    Net $699.99
    Purchased on 07/19/10

Many times I see them on sale at my dealer for around $750 or so...usually $799.
Still a good deal compared to what's out there...even list at KW is cheaper than many online sites....:biggrin_25513:

Best part? - I got KW service to install them for a great deal. Of course that didnt quite turn out the way it should have and if any of you know me, your probably right in assuming they were installed WRONG....

PS. When I bought the rig, it had a Pete Seat in the drivers spot. That was just wrong and had to go....

Stay away from the "normal" truck seat outlets. I bought my brand new Bostrom Pro Rides in Ultra Leather from a used truck parts supplier in Iowa for $675 each. Called them and spec'd the seats the way I wanted and picked them up a few weeks later. Places like Iowa 80 generally will charge full retail. It pays to shop.

I just placed my arse in one of those elite seats at MHC KW in Dallas. Then I started talking about price... He said $970 & he isn't making any money off from it.

That is when I told him he needs to find a different supplier cause I can get them other places for $650. He didn't want to talk to me after that.... So out the door I went.

And that is what I'm trying to do.

($970 is higher than list) - MHC is the king of KW dealers down there...good luck getting a discount from them...
Out of curiosity - I just called my dealer.....

Every day selling price on this is $752.74. (list is $836.99 as of today)
That's for the exact solid tone seats like I have. She can ship them but it will drive the cost up for sure...

Right now I'm waiting for Sears to call me back directly. KW told me that the sears seat has a universal bolt system & would bolt in my Volvo with no issues.... Then the guy behind me chimed up & said that they told him the same thing about his shaker..... So he bought the seats & ended up drilling holes....

I'm wanting to talk to Sears first about the bolt patterns.

Well even if you need to drill a few holes, its not bad. Mine had to be so I could slide the passenger seat INWARD a bit. It was rubbing on the side of the cab wall...
Naturally KW installed them and billed me. Then billed me again to fix this mistake of an install.

KW dealers in my area offer the Seats Inc. brand; overpriced POS, in my book. Think I will try the Sears next. Fellow offered me a neat tip when you r&r the seats-
He placed a piece of 1/4" aluminum flat plate slightly larger than the seat base, between the seat and floor. This eliminates the dust collecting "valley" that develops in the mat/carpet when you tighten the bolts. Any one doing this, needs to be sure to slightly round off the corners, and bevel the edges, to prevent cutting the padding, and the mat/carpet.
