I believe you got the answer right there in his post. Without knowing where you are we can't tell you. A high paying company in my area may not hire in your area and vise versa.

When it boils down to it they are all crap... They way to find YOUR nitch in this industry is by trial and error... What "joe" might love about company A "tom" might hate about it... Some companies might advertise .48 cpm but how many miles are you getting a week? "joe" works there and gets 3000 miles a week while "tom" works there and can barley get 1700 miles a week... Everyone's situation is different in this industry and to find a set answer is almost impossible... I've said this many times and I'll say it again.... If a company was SO GREAT they wouldn't have an orientation once a week, they would have a waiting list!!!! After you start driving and have a little experience you'll find out who the best company is for you... Money isn't everything...

You need to make a list of the things you want and the things you don't want... Then after narrowing it do to the companies that have more pro's in YOUR favor than con's, that's when you decide who the "Good" job is for you...

There's probably a 1000 drivers on here that will bad mouth swift and say they suck... Then there will be some drivers on here that say swift is good, gives them miles, decent pay check, hometime, nice truck. couldn't ask for more.... Everyone's situation is different...

Like another poster said its trial & error. A lot of us are picky, VERY PICKY. What make Joe love the company could have Danny hating it and vice verse.

You're in a great area for regional work in Knoxville being along I-40 & I-75.. You have Titan, Big G Express, & MDS just to name a few who I dont hear bad things about and have pretty good equipment. Gotta make phone calls and talk to recruiters with these companies to see what they'll offer.

swift pays there exp drivers well they get a loyality compensation cpm my budyy get s a nickel a mile for 3 yrs or something.plus a company drivers get a annual bonuse depending on rank.im a lease op and I get 99cpm and loaded fuelsurcharge av 42 cpm.i run 2600 1 week 3k next [rotatation] im home every night and I have 2 days off ,and have the option to run a 6 day so tag another 5 to 6 hundred miles depending on wich cycle ..as a new driver your not going to realy hit paydirt anywhere asides Williston n.d. .for a cpl months then its winter.my best advise is choose your company wisely take it sq on the chin leave the the crying and wining cupcakes ...and work as hard as you can,pre trip rpr trls for the next drvr, just be the drvr you said youd be before you got your cdl...

We have a bunch of drivers that live in TN that run for us. Abilene. They'd welcome another driver located in Knoxville.
