Who pays dispatcher?

Sounds like he wants $20k a year from each driver ( he has 6 ) to pay for a dispatcher?

Must be a hell of a dispatcher?

Yes it is the point, if he has leverage to say no, then it is no, but if has no legal means to say no, then he is working for a crap carrier and should leave without notice.

I agree it is bs, I'm one of the few owners who want to see these crap carriers gone, no matter who thinks they are good or not.

The last four years, the owner of the business has Employed a dispatcher. Recently the owner has told myself and the half a dozen other drivers who haul for him that he wants us to chip in and paint the dispatcher so he doesn’t have to incur the cost. He assures us we would be able to deduct that extra 20,000 or so each om taxes. He’s a good guy, the owner, But we have concerns about what this entails for us. Anyone heard of this? What are we signing on for if we agree to it? We are kind of being told this is what he’s going to do and that we don’t have a choice. At least half of us, three, are concerned. We are wondering how this might affect Worker’s Compensation insurance or how we might incur other expenses if we’ve got an employee on our hands. Also, just the logistics and headache of taking care of someone. We mostly work back to back trips.

Run like hell. This one is scamming you. Your pay scale is illiegal also by the way. The IRS has proven this in court. This guy is ripping you all off. You pay the dispatcher and all you taxes. You are responsible if you get hurt. They only way this would be worth it is if he is paying you over 6 figures
