who tests for drugs: employers or schools as well?

Not at all. When I needed similar info, it was because in the preceding 6 months, I had 3 oral surgeries w/IV anesthesia due to an infection. ALL my teeth were extracted and replaced with implants. That required a quantity of Percocet to endure. I stopped taking it 2 weeks after the last surgery when I quit hurting. When I was looking for a trucking job, I knew I would pass a urine test, but was fearful that I would fail a hair follicle test. I did not want to apply to a company that did hair follicle testing and get sent home the first day for a lawful prescription drug that I no longer took.

Trying to get information about which companies were UA-only was impossible, because these threads are always hijacked by the self-righteous. Honest posters with actual knowledge don't respond because there's always a pack of just-say-no hyenas waiting to attack.

The bottom line is not everyone who asks a drug test question is a pothead.

 

True words spoken by brother Joseph. I guess you could do what another of our members is going to attempt and just carry a bag of synthetic pee with you at all times, strapped to the waist or something I guess. Maybe get one of those prosthetic genitals that holds the fake pee (just make sure to get the right color). That might even work for a test or 2. Lord help you if you get in a wreck though and are given an observed test.

 

Why is it we're trying to get around zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use in an industry that the result of that use can have such a catastrophic result on peoples lives?

It's so much easier to just get clean and stay clean.

 

Oh please those people are in the minority.

 

They should drug test on the first day, no sense in wasting a stoner's time making them be there for a week, THEN letting them go.


Wait till you're involved in a fatal accident and see what happens, you'd better be CLEAN or enjoy spending time in prison cells.......

 

i wont go into my past but i have been there done that with drugs, more than i care to admit. even when trucking. should i have ?? HELL NO....am i clean now? HELL YES and have been for many years.....do i have a problem with a druggie behind the wheel ??? HELL YES....how did i not get caught, i have no idea....so am i self righteous ? not at all...i just know more than once i shouldnt have been behind the wheel when i was....so does it scare me to think of someone else doing it ? yes it does....and so i hope they fail a drug test and dont get to drive....i never had an accident but could have very easily. DRUGS AND TRUCKING DONT MIX...i dont care how COOL you THINK you are....you're NOT....need to clean ur ##### up and stay that way, then consider it....

 

I do coke 2-3 times daily never had a problem. I always thought it was better than Pepsi or any other soft drink

 

They should drug test some of these posts here.I love clicking some of these threads.
