Prime company drivers choose between lightweight (smaller trucks) and condos (full size). They make 5cpm more, are easier to maneuver in tight spaces and can haul heavier loads. Miles are pretty good. I've been driving just short of a year and gross at least a grand most weeks, not all tho.

I worked for J&R Schugel in 2014 so my info is from that time period.
They were just starting to install drive cams on all trucks when I left , both forward facing and driver facing.
The trucks are pretty slow too, 62-63mph on a good day with new tires. Prime is governed at 62mph so not much difference there.
They do run super singles.
When I worked there most of the fleet was Freightliner Cascadias and KW T660s and both had Cummins ISX 15 liter .They also had some T680's , I believe those had Paccar/DAF mx engines.
Every truck has an apu. no inverters but the shop will install one for you if you buy it
LOTS of campbells and kraft runs. Also frozen chicken with walmart live unloads
They did not want you using toll roads at all , I spent a lot of time on us 20 and us 30
Every truck had an in-cab scanner for trip sheets/bills which was awesome.
They did have a "drop yard" in Atlanta proper off of Jonesboro , but the only terminals are Columbus OH, New Ulm MN,and Tomah WI
They had line 5 PC when I was there which was really convenient when not under a load
I was not able to average a gross amount of $1000 per week here , however, they did raise the base pay from when I was there. My best week was just over $1050, most weeks being between $850-$950 and I would stay out 4 weeks at a time
I don't really have anything negative to say about them except for slightly low pay, slow trucks, and cameras. The people were really nice and respectful there and nobody ever bothered me. -

Also with 1.5 years experience I would not run for these companies but there was a home daily job in Atlanta with J&R Schugel.. It's kind of secret unadvertised gig shuttling trailers between plants and also being a yard jockey at all the plants..
I don't know what part of Atlanta you live in but if you don't mind hauling for publix check this out https://www.ruan.com/job.aspx?id=2281mystro2005 Thanks this. -
Thanks everyone for the input. I knew I could get some helpful advice from my fellow road dawgs...
