Whats going on fellow drivers? i have a bit of a dilemma goin on right now..need a Lil advice...first a little history
I started trucking in nov 2010 with Werner i stayed with them until 6/11 and started with CTL(comcar) until last week when i was fired for IMPROPERLY reporting a incident...i tried to explain to them that i had no idea that i was suppose to call right then and tell them since it wasn't a actual accident...although i did actually write it up in my inspection book....or than that my record is clean no tickets no criminal...
But when i attempted to get another job no one will accept meeveryone says im disqualified because of that although most say my DAC AND MVR IS CLEAN i have that bad reference and termination on my record...
Would anyone know of a company that will still hire me after this has happened..i need a job bad
They kept my last 785 dollar check because the damage was supposedly 1500$...on a MACK ha piece of crap i say!!!
Who will hire me???

Hmmm...$1500 worth of damage and you didn't feel the need to report it? There has to be more to this story
THBatMan8 Thanks this. -
Its was my step and a small dent in my fuel tank not enough to get shut down by the DOT though...but a replacement tank is 1500 so they say and they said they must replace it.

You need to report any accident no matter how small to the company. If you owe them money they can deduct that out of your last check but they cannot keep your pay check do to damage you done to a vehicle. Contact your local labor office and they will check into it.

If your DAC and MVR is clean just don't use the former employer as as reference.
Go to the Hire Right website and order a copy of your DAC and see what you are dealing with. -
might want to try the self insured companies or maybe go local but order your dac before u go forward
-
I have already ordered my DAC...and as far as local its not to many jobs in my area...that was my whole plan to get my year and go local the few companies that are in my city want a year or more otr time.
What are some of the self insured companies? -
Yea i see that now i never understood how big of a deal it was until i got fired. but hey you live and you learn!Last edited: Oct 2, 2011
