So did the pilots have to get pissed / blood tested within 6 hrs ? Fill out a accident report ? Call safety dept ?? Get as many pictures as they could ?? How do they handle this .

DOT treats pilots the same as truck drivers when it comes to drug testing. Airlines are allowed to implement more stringent tests than the DOT minimum requirements.

You do know that the DOT covers all transportation workers in a safety sensitive job?

As long as they can get the entire crew and passengers intoxicated they won’t have to worry about getting sued

 

This sounds like both were at fault , piliot and flight control for not having enuff situational awareness .

 

FAA just finished their audit of Southwest and ordered all pilots to more training. I guess they’ve had too many close calls lately. Like one just recently of a 737 flying 150 above Tampa Bay.

Delta probably going to get audited also. At least I hope so because I fly Delta a lot.
