Family first right? Shouldn't providing for said family come first?

With my situation. Yes I did leave my wife. She was a manipulative, controlling dirty word keeping me in a dead end job and I am better off without her.

I plan on marrying my gf and adopting her 10yo daughter, though we both came from horrible marriages and vowed never to remarry we do love each other and with her health problems the only way for her to get insurance is through my job.

She gets money from a settlement fund for taking care of her multi handicapped son, he needs 24/7 care. But that will not last forever eventually he will get placed in the group home as he is on the waiting list. She didn't want me to work but to stay home with her and the kids. I keep pointing out to her I am trying to build a career. I will not be otr forever, but I have to pay my dues to open the door for better opportunities.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the good of your family. Life isn't perfect.

Here's this woman's point of view. Yes, she is almost certainly moody and hormonal. I image that she is anxious about the baby. It's natural. Truth is, as frustrating as women's hormones can be for a man, they drive us women crazy as well. If you can get a job that keeps you home, she'd probably feel a lot better. I know I would if I were in her place. Hang in there. It'll pass. Remember all the good that goes along with it. Which reminds me, congrats on your new child!

Oh, and a sense of humor always helps. Check out Everybody Loves Raymond, Season 4, Episode 22 - Bad Moon Rising. The most hilarious look at hormonal swings ever. It's funny because it's so true.
