What is an "out of route" ticket?
-
Probably being off the truck route because those shi**y west Texas towns are famous for ticketing people for it.Bret1984 Thanks this.

Look up sand haulers of America on Facebook.I believe there is a few so look for the one with the highest amount of members.Bret1984 Thanks this.

Thought maybe that was it, just never heard it called that. Usually it's a violation of truck restrictions or some BS. I used to drag an RGN around for a pipeline company. I got pulled over all the time for being WAY over 54k on the F-M roads. They were all way too happy to be writing the ticket, until I showed them my permit route. (Overweight and OD)Bret1984 and Dadetrucking305 Thank this.

That's when you drive on a road that trucks aren't allowed to drive on.Dadetrucking305 Thanks this.
-
You can run 84k on FM roads and state highways if you have a Weight Tolerance Permit.TheIncredibleBulk, Dadetrucking305 and Bret1984 Thank this.

Yup, that and my routing from TxDOT was what I showed them.RockinChair and Bret1984 Thank this.

So the officer should have written the ticket to TxDOT, right?
Dadetrucking305 Thanks this.
