    Aftershock,
    Thanks for the kind words,Nice to hear them.Going to be a tough time-seems like most of these companies that are advertising for Drivers,want you to have one or two years driving experience.Probably a hint that it's time to just get out of this business.
    One of the other drivers told me that the SWIFT name is a collection of the first letters for the description of the Company-I know the first one-the S is for SLIMY,and I guess that the F is for F--ked up,BUT I don't know-cannot remember what the rest of the letters are for.
    Thanks again.

    If that's "a shot" then you must be one IGNORANT Douchebag...Or ONE OF THE FEW Swift fans....The two are synonymous,anyway.:biggrin_25514::biggrin_25522:

    And if you're a "swift fan"(by the way I always wanted to ask one of you- this:HOW DO YOU GET THAT STUFF OFF YOUR NOSE AFTER YOU LEAVE WORK??) then YOU KNOW....Swift doesn't train people-they leave that up to the mentors-like the jackoff MENTOR who "trained" me...by telling me EVERYday about how the company had screwed his Good buddy-the safety manager- of 15 years,by "firing" him so that they (SWIFT) did not have to pay him any severance pay;

    and the same "trainer" who never showed me how to scale a load("you won't need that");

    and the same "trainer" who NEVER did a PRE TRIP inspection;

    The same "trainer" who TOLD ME to come down to the terminal on my Off days and sign in- on the qualcomm-so that I would get paid for the days that I did not work-in order to get the FULL $450 a week that Swift says that you will make when they sign you up...and then called me "AN IDIOT" when I told him that I would NOT do that...

    Yeah,I (ME) sure wished that I finished:biggrin_25525: "MY TRAINING" ...oops I THINK THAT I DID Finish that-I.E. Maybe(HUMOUR ME HERE)That was why I was driving SOLO.....?????

    Thanks for the memories/laughs..sorry if I misinterpreted your post.

    Ooops!
    I don't think SuperHauler was suggesting you didn't finish training, but merely relating one of the acronyms for S W I F T. There are several.
    I think you did misinterpret SH's post.
    I'd send flowers with a sincere apology. :biggrin_25525:

    Hearing all the negative stories about these trucking companies has me a little worried. I just recently graduated from a training school and am now looking to drive OTR. Now I am not so sure after all the horror stories. Does anyone now of or have any advise about which companies would be a good one to start out with.......

    Balizar- read many many many threads on here before you make opinions. There are trends with certain companies (on here) but remember they tend to be BIG companies (and there may lie some but not all of the problems). Remember for many of the bad things you read on here= there may be 10 who have NOT posted good things. The Truckers Report is a valuable tool for you do some research. Ask questions of those on here-there is a Welcome Wagon, newbie section, experienced section-great place to start and GOOD LUCK and Welcome!!!!!!
