Well I been reading what you all had to say. I think we all had some bad experences, and hate to see others go through them. Does our bad experence makes a company bad? No not really. Yes some may have worst safety record than others. Some trucks go faster, pull better, or they have better looking rigs. But if you sit back and think, not adding your problems with any company out there to the thinking.. If a Company so bad How would they survive? Politics? Maybe.. Luck? Again Maybe... But yet every company that has been mentioned, has Drivers that stuck with them for years and years. Luck? maybe, or is it they had made it with the Company. They put in the effert to make it work for them.

Here are the Companies I had bad experences with, the list is many.
Navajo Fired for refusal to Drive while under Doctors care and Medication.
Rocor Poor Truck and got tired waiting for them to argue for who going to pay for the truck repair...
Star Transport out of Nashville Low miles
CR England and Sons Death trap of a truck Low miles and refuse to give home time

I notice Swift is the biggest one people been complaining about.

I been off the Road now for 6 years. When I was driving, I knew their Trucks were slow and only heard over the Ole CB "Swift your not so Swift are you?".

The only run in with Swift was was Thanksgiving night 1997. I was a sleep in my Bunk, when my Truck got rocked. Open my curtain and all I saw was SWIFT. Dragged his trailer across my hood. I got dressed and the Driver could not even come and talk to me, he sent his Wife. So it turned out his Wife and I did all the paper work made the calls that had to be made. All he could do was stare out into space and said I need out of this job. Maybe so not everyone cut out to be a Truck Driver, but because of one small accident not a reason to throw it all away. I ended up having to talk to their safety man on the Phone cause he was not able to. Which then I mentioned to the Safety guy what he told me, and that I was trying to encourge him to continue.

At the time I was driving for Star Transport out of Nashville, and I had to race back to Nashville to swop out Trucks so I could continue and they wanted me to keep the truck I swapped into, but it was worst than the one that got hit. Another story for another time.

I am new to the site and liked what I saw so far. My 2 cents is swift is bad they have some of worst drivers ( if you want to call them that ) I seen on the road. they will bad mouth you in a heartbeat. I have a few stories I can tell about swift drivers but I'll hold off for now. I have some stories about them orange pumkin trucks too. they don't rank as high on the jack*** list as swift but they are close.

    >I've never driven for any company on the original list, nor have I had any intention to want to, therefore I really cannot say with affirmation what any of these companies do or don't to/for people.
    >I've seen an increase in the speed of Swift trucks in that they're travelling not much slower than 70, and I've been passed by JBers in company and O/O trucks whilst I was cruising at 65 - 70.
    >Pumpkin drivers have their speed limiters however I don't pay attention to their speeds as I usually pass them when I can.
    >There are both good and bad aspects of EVERY COMPANY and some folk merely look ONLY for the bad of companies to possibly support some characteristic of their personality/ies.

This is merely an uneducated guess from a non psychiatric view.

I have been approved for PGT Trucking in Monaco PA, also CRST. I wanna now what company should I use. I want a company which has the shortest training time, the most $$$ on the road, hopefully dedicated. Also regarding $$$ 800-1200 a week would be great in the 60 mile withing Delaware. Any advice to a recent dtudent graduate would help. Ohh, and is it okay to lie about your skill and experience? :drunken:

I would steer clear of CRST, unless you want to team with a complete stranger, or unless you have a team partner already in mind. To my knowledge CRST is mostly a team operating company.

Don't know anything about PGT, so I can't help you there.

Not sure what you're asking in regards to money or Delaware.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT EVER lie about your skills or experience. End of discussion.

DItto, CRST will not get you home either. Not very often anyway.

    I know nothing of PGT.

You'd probaby get more looks if you started yout own thread. And search this forum for all of the companies you are thinking of.

Schnieder and Crete seem to get the best praise concerning new drivers.

Such a long list there. They all have there good and bad. If they didn't have some good you would not have went to them in the first place. My vote is for other. Westside transport. Stay away. Enough said. Tri-cont trucking is another bad one. They like to mess with the DAC.
