I am starting my first trucking job ever here in a few days, so I don't have any experience with this myself yet, but my uncle used to work for Swift, and it seemed awful.

So who's in the lead for worst? Is there a thread on the best to work for? best paid? I hear that trucking for the oil fields is the most pay and that Colorado sand hauling pays the best with the least amount of physical work. Has anyone heard of Links, RMT Trucking, Dillon, Justice, G&Z? and whats worst to haul: crude, gasoline, propane, water hauling, other? So, who's received the least votes for worst trucking company? huh? huh?

    In other words,
you want the readers and posters to look up/research
for the answers to your questions of interest, rather
    than do that yourself?

I would say with four yrs driving he has done some research. He is now asking more experienced drivers their opinions....that is what a forum is about. So, my opinion...they all suck. no matter what your pay...or work load,or miles..or hours..or hometime....it is a very unhealthy lifestyle! this week I was driving back from Chicago to IN...in a 30 mile stretch I counted 566 trucks going the opposite way....all working their ##### off for their families...and killing themselves. truckers are NOT PAID enough to keep AMERICA RUNNING!!!

Seriously? This particular "poll" is representative of ALL trucking companies??

This poll provides a choice of six mega-carrier companies, then provides the "Other" choice.

What is "Other"?? How many trucking companies are amassed within the "Other" category??

The six mega-carrier companies chosen by the author of the poll are: Swift, J B Hunt, Werner, Covenant, Prime and CR England.

Did the author of this particular poll forget to include the literal thousands of trucking company fleets that are out there??

For a poll to be worthwhile and representative of true poll fashion, it should and ought to have viable, representative data.

This poll is about as useful as the toilet paper that I sometimes haul.
