heartland is the worse. they want you to sit all day and run at night and the next day they want you to run during the day. you have to fuel at their terminals and go out of the way w/o getting paid for it to do it. you have to sit at their terminals and wait for inspections.

What is funny though, even with all the other bad companys around, Swift has more votes than OTHER.
That means they are hands down worse than all other companys that did not make the poll. As well as worse than the others in the poll.

So Poll says. DON'T GO TO SWIFT

First come first served at the shop for inspections, repairs etc.

Did they not tell you in orentation that you had to fuel at their terminals? I do not know for a fact that they told you but it is common sense if you go through their city on a trip it is alot cheaper for you to fuel at the terminals.
They probaly get a good discount because they are buying several thousand gallons at one time from the fuel supplier.

When I worked at May trucking last year they want you to fuel at their terminals that had a fuel island if you were going through the area.
Why you say it is because they get a great deal on the fuel.

Basically the trucking companies that have fuel at their terminals get a better deal when they buy it from the fuel dist than if you go to the truckstop and buy fuel.

My guess is that he understands there reasoning.
His issue is that they do not route that way for the loads, and thus he is not getting paid for the out of route miles to go there.
When my company makes me do that I eather ask them to change my fuel stop, or pay the miles to get me there, which they do.

At times they have just given me a new "in route" fuel stop, because paying me to drive to the terminal would have cost them more than there savings.

I understand that if it was alot of miles but I have only been a few miles away from my terminals, otherwise I would complain too I guess if it was more than 5 miles out of the way.
That reminds me of a trip I had a pickup at coors out of golden the company had me drop an mt at another location then bt back to the drop yard and grab a reefer but on my dispatch and routing they wanted me to pickup load then return to the fuel stop at the p lot then turn arround and hit I-25 I said heck with that I stoped before I went up to golden saved me aprox 5-15 miles not to mention probaly 1 hour of time doing it that way instead of dealing with the Denver traffic in the middle of rush hour.

Bet you are wondering were I scaled my load I just hit the Ta out by coors.

someone ever thought that covenant might be running alittle further up in the worst. I came home for hometime and the guy I was teaming with never came back to pick me up always the trucks broke down and family emergency. While the dispatcher telling me all the time you will get paid until he gets their to pick you up. So I went with somewhere else.............they suck to high heavens...................COVEnANT during this time I had a 3 week vacation I didn't even know I would get so if you work for covenant or want to work for them all the LADIES watch out...The whole time I was their I never seen any of them be solo either......covenant liars, and wolf in sheeps clothing better beware

If they have to advertise to get drivers, if you read about them in the papers or truckstops, if a recruiter has to sell them to you to work for them, if you have to go to a company to get your one year of experience, then yes, they suck.

Psst...hey man you are aware that your company runs ads from time to time right? I was gonna scan one and post it but remembered you prefered to keep that to yourself.
