Just got an oil change an the lady at the counter of Petro service shop insisted on fighting me on whose name goes on the receipt because I'm running under a companies d.o.t. She wouldn't put my company name on the receipt . I was half tempted afterwards to tell her to call the company and ask them to 9ay then see what they say...
So legally shouldn't my name go on the receipt since I'm paying for it no reimbursement?
Whose name goes on receipt.

Good lord the drama
I would have leftLast Call, Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
I would think the name of whoever is paying for it goes on it but I’ve never paid someone to do an oil change so he’ll if I know,
I’d still throw it in my expense pile either wayRideandrepair, Siinman and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Get an UltraOne card tied to your name and phone number to check in. I’ve had zero issues with oil changes and buying tires at Petro and getting my name and info on the ticket.
Rideandrepair, Siinman and CruzControhl2 Thank this. -
If it was under the company tax exempt, then that company name is on it.
beastr123, Rideandrepair, Siinman and 4 others Thank this. -
You should call the station and talk to the manager/owner and let them know about this so they can correct this person. Personally I dont save receipts. I save the credit card statements. I paid it, its on the statement... Thats all the IRS cares about.Rideandrepair, Siinman, Cattleman84 and 2 others Thank this. -
A few states are funny about sales tax exemption and that DOT number may be in the system otherwise you would be charged sales taxes if in your name.
Rideandrepair, Siinman, CruzControhl2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I will share that I spent a wopping $17 bucks getting the company trailer greased.
Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
That's like 8-12 grease fittings. I'd have done it myself lol.
Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
Depends on the company trailer.
He didn't say what type it is. Mine has a lot more then 8-12.
I did buy a gun and lube though as one company years ago required us to lube every week. But the lube somewhat melted in the summer heat. In my car. So it sits in my garage in my oil drain pan.
I've never had a problem putting receipts in my name.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
