Why a strike? The CSA 2010 will cripple trucking.

How many on here contacted their governments reps about the health care bill? For or against. How many write on here write like they talk on the CB? Full of "I'm gonna" but do nothing. How many voted in the last election? Less then 50 percent of the general population voted last year but if you ask that question at a truck stop, on the CB or even on here then 90 percent say they voted. BS. Your government officials do what they do because people like you don't vote or keep track on whats going on in your state. Don't give me the BS story about how you are on the road with all of the technology that we have today. Why are they shoving this 2010 down our throats. Look around you at all of the stupid truck drivers on the road today. Please don't start with the newbies or what company they drive for. These drivers are tail gating, speeding more then 15 mph, cutting in too soon or one of the many things that we call four wheelers stupid for doing. Your getting 2010 shoved up your a@# because either your driving like a stupid driver or your to much of a coward to say anything to your fellow drivers. Now lets hear more about how your "gonna" but you do nothing. And if your looking for a "poor baby" then call your mommy because she is by law of nature required to listen to your whining.

 

Wow... I didnt vote and I dont vote because our votes dont matter. Once the voting system actually counts off the peoples votes and not how the government votes for each state then ill vote. But that will never happen the government is gonna do what they want when they want and how they want.

Unemployed, welfare recipients reliant on the government for everything, which,IMHO, IS EXACTLY WHAT THE GOVERNMENT WANTS! Once you have to rely on them for everything, they have you COMPLETELY UNDER CONTROL!
Why do you think healthcare was passed??? Now if you get out of line, correction, think about getting out of line, they can stop paying your medical bills...
They don't need some fancy mind control device to make us obey, but take away something we need, or think we need to survive, and we become compliant little sheep, just waiting to be fleeced AGAIN. (of course, that doesn't mean the government doesn't have fancy mind control devices, I think they do!)

I knew my Congressman (Devin Nunes) will vote against socialist agendas, and Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein will vote for socialism no matter. I wrote to them on cap & trade, but didn't do so on healthcare as it was House vote. Probably should have wrote to "moderate" Dem Congressmen.


Didn't vote. I would have if I could. Can't vote until I become a citizen. Got my greencard last year and I can't take citizenship test for another couple years. Hopefully I'll be a citizen by 2012 election, or I'll pretend to be a liberal Democrat and have ACORN register me.


Guilty as charged, I guess. So what could we do about CSA 2010, other than leaving comments on their website?

 

If a large portion of drivers will have to go work at McDonald's to make living because they lost their CDL due too many tickets, accidents, running illegal or running unsafe equipment is their own fault. Your company did not make you or any body else do these things that will cause you to get a bad driving record, you did it on your own.

All drivers that have been driving like professional have nothing to worry about. Your pay is going to go up due to a shortage of drivers and your company will treat you with more respect then ever before.

So what can we do about CSA 2010? What I'm going to do about CSA 2010 is two things, one, I'm going to write, email and call every change I get to make sure the rules are fair for all, two, I'm going to keep on doing what I have been doing since 1990 is run every thing legal right down to the "T", never run more then 5 mph over the speed limit and get plenty of rest. This has worked for me for the last almost 20 years, this strategy has lead me to one of the best trucking jobs in this country. If you have to run illegal to make a living then either you are too far in debt, which is your fault, or you are working for a cheap company and allowing your self to be taken advantage of, or both. You know that 10 or 15 years of driving don't make you a pro, if you are still doing your job like a rookie.

You, yes you, the big studly ex-large car, go fast, get out of my way, left lane running, cowboy truck driver, I'll take a side of fries with that order. Sorry, just could not resist making fun of the drivers that made fun of me running the speed limit. Or maybe I'll do like they did when they passed me on the road and blow the horn and say things like if you can't run with the big dogs then stay on the porch. Don't worry guys I'll blow my horn as I go by your house and your setting on the front porch with your dog pumping your arm up and down to get me to blow my horn. I don't hold a grudge, I will blow my horn as I go by and think that by the grace of God and common sense sits I.

 

now i just read this post and had to laugh, but i had to admit that it was pretty big talk for a one eyed fat man.

here is a flash for you, you have the right to vote or not as you choose, thats why they call it a free country and that is as it should be , nobody shoulds be forced to vote or intimadated by a big mouth into voting when they dont want to or some made up bully.

as a matter of fact I DID NOT VOTE because i do not like who was running i dont vote along party lines , neither republican nor democrat if i dont like the man running i dont vote for him and i dont care who dosent like it and as long as they have the electorial colledge thats the way it's going to be regardless of your opinion.

and as a matter of fact i would not vote for obama on a three dollor bet and i'll bet before the smoke clears those that did will regret that vote . BUT regardles of your opinion or mine that was there right and it is as it should be it is a free country so far. and you and people like you have no right to try to bully anyone because of there vote or anything else for that matter. 20 yrs on the rode i doubt it , i wish that was all i had but i dont whine about it .

as far as the new regs comming in 2010 what your spouting is pure garbage it will in no way wreck the trucking business most of the regs are not even posted yet you dont even know what they are , most are regs we already have and will now be put in a national data base for the purpose of easier accsess for law enforcement if you drive like a ###### then you have a problem but it is your problem it will not affect anyone but you and your CDL.

now it is true it will put some off the road but we all know or those of us that make a living out here no there are a lot out here that do not need to be out here and they no who they are nobody has to tell them but for the drivers out here that take care of business have nothing to worry about .

there are a couple of new regs regarding health issues but no big deal such as diabetis and blood pressure and im sure there are others that im not aware of yet they havent been posted yet but i have seen nothing that will force a driver out of work unless he is in real bad shape health wise but some things you just cant control.

o and buy the way i am one of those drivers that blows the horn and tells you to move to the right and do the best you can i got to go , if your running that slow why are you in the hammer lane thats against the law ever think about that, if you cant run with the big dogs stay on the #### porch and whine.

true we have a lot of problems out here but the biggest problems we face are from those that cant seem to mind there own business and whine because they cant do what the big boys do. ill furnish the cheeze.

you seem to think your a pro well ill tell you somthing mr pro i've been out here pushing 50 years and the only time i have ever heard sombody bad mouth another driver for the way they voted or did not vote is from your smart mouth you ought to be real proud of your self , your vote is private and so is everybody elses and none of your #### business grow up and get a life and stop preaching all the doom and gloom i dont plan on going anywhere for awhile yet
