Why a strike? The CSA 2010 will cripple trucking.

Before very many loose jobs the courts will be flooded with law suits.

This is all getting so carried away.. I have heard drivers talking on the road. Things like {over 40 years old have to turn in their CDL} BULL....

Road side DOT physicals . BULL...........

I have also heard the CSA 2010 as a Whole is being chanllenged in court already and may not get very far...
Rumors are just that. On both sides.

I get this feeling that they will have a lot more to concern themselves with by the time CSA 2010 gets here.


HOS ???? What took them years to plan took a truck driver minutes to figure out how to over come and get around.

E-logs ? Your company bought and paid for your qualcom.. Because they did not trust YOU... NO law requires it..

They turned your trucks back because they did not trust you.. Then told you that the insurance company required it,... BULL Again......

A very large percentage of teh comapny drivers out here today do not get enough miles or hours in as it is. HOS ? Not an issue for most.

The truck stops are full of drivers that do not have 11 hours of driving in for that day... Nor 70 hours that week. Not all but a huge percentage.
So if the shoe fits wear it if not there is no arguement..

There are those that do run a lot and need the 11 and the whole 70...
But they are not in that truck stop by 5 pm.

 

that and have you ever tried to file a lawsuit against the government when you're broke and starving. lawyers don't really line up to sue the US gov, and they don't line up to represent broke truckers who want to either.

So , it kind of goes back to what I said. Feds = 20 years to create a log book. truck Driver = 20 minutes to figure out how to get around one.

Black Box ???? Electrical shorts happen all the time. I found that plain old magnets work pretty good. Never lay one on your lap top.

Credit card ? Magnets screw them up pretty good too.

The CSA thing has been suspended again..
So , In fact , are they trying to make the roads safer or make someone go gooffy .... Does any one remember the guy that went so called "Postal"

And just maybe the Government screwed with him a little too much..

Ya , he was whacked any way . but still happened.

For all the new breed that thinks all of this new E-log , Black box ,CSA this is so good, maybe they should have been Air line pilots instead.

Werner is making a big deal about CSA, i think they're scared. Every dispatch message now say things like this, and every once in a while they change..

anyway...the truckstops are also full of drivers who ran out on their 14 because of idiot dispatchers, and jerk shippers.

I got held up by a consignee the other day because i dont speak french. SERIOUSLY. A call to my company helped that one....

The only time my truck was ever hit by another truck , in a truck stop it was a Werner truck.. Ever see one that did not have dent or something banged up on it ? Not picking on anyone , Just the facts here.

I think we may have a war or something before the CSA things gets us.

Imagine 170,000 people put out of work because of some new rules ...
Could be a cause for a war of sorts at least for 170,000 ...
What the heck the rest of us won't be far behind them if they get this passed.
Just think of all the new markets that could start up.. Mills to make flower to make their own bread, Pipe lines to every town for gas ,
under 26,000 lb trucks every where ... They could even use horses to pull wagons to go get their stuff. They would likely nail licence plates to the horses butts .. That way they could ticket you if they could not read it through all the horse crap.

 

Yeah but the EPA when just come out with some regs for a HPPF ( Horse Poop Patircle Filter ) that way it would burn the poop up before it ht the ground, then we'd have to deal with the smell etc........

 

Are we all missing the boat here?????.... I was listening to the truckers channel on XM the other day and our dear Obama had issued a directive to his secretary of transportation to get the over the road freight off the trucks and on trains, ships and barges. Then the day after that the Obama people said it would be coming soon. Anyone keeping up on this???

It has been here for years .. Rail Road subsidies paid for modernizing our rail system and they took a lot of freight off the road a long time ago.

No help ever came to the trucking industry on a O/O level and yet literally every other industry has had a fair share of help. farmers are tax exempt. Low interest loans etc. Logging , Tax exempt...

Labor laws in the US cover all eccept Truck drivers and traveling sales people. Don't make min. wage , Tough crap... All others get it by law.

Does a farmer get fined for growing crops too close to a road ?

Our so called leader is leading us down the drain and yet we still have some who can not or refuse to see that.. They are still standing there with their hands out waiting for HIM to save them.

He has now procalimed that we are no longer a Christain Nation and never were. He has also denounced his Christain faith and now claims to be Muslim and he will install very new things here in very short order and We will all sit back and let him ..

We were all told to be "Tolerant " yet his own religion is NOT..

The best way for HIM to get YOU in a position to NEED HIM is to break YOU... Financially first and then break your will,, when YOU have no where else to turn You will submit.

He has given us nothing , rather RAMMED crap down our throats...
HE is ramming health care down YOUR throat and shoving YOUR job up YOUR behind. And turning OUR USA into a MUSLIM nation so YOUR kids will be subject to THEIR rule...

YOU do not have to be Christain to really care about this, but , If YOU really think taking God out of our country and replacing that with a MUSLIM Rule is a better deal than just wiat and see.
Be careful not to loose YOUR head over it.
