Yeah ok AIIS.I'll answer that for you, It's fairly simple.

You can start off by ASKING us, not TELLING us what "its paying" That right there pissese me off to no end.
You DO NOT dictate what its paying , In good times or bad. WE (the Carrier) do.

Next, Depending in if your working in volume or Spot Market...I believe 5-10% per load is sufficient for you people. yeah I use the Term strongly "You people"

If 10% isnt enough..Work on volume so you can make a better dollar.

Anything else? Next time i hear you Brokers say..."Its Paying" Instead of asking "What do i need to move this" You'll be in a lot of trouble.

There.....Anyone else wanna play games with me?

    Uh, huh

So, you presume to dictate to us after you say how much it pisses you off to have a price dictated to you? Hypocrite much?

thats right, WE (carriers) have dictated rates,if shippers didnt agree, They Moved on or bought their own fleet. You Guys came along and started either
    A. Dictating to carriers What your willing to pay(With low negotiation) or
    B. You grab volume freight from customers with a lick and a Promise coinciding with a Dog n Pony show and think you can have your way with the Motoring service... Doesnt work that way on my watch anyway

theirs no Hypocracy here,,,,,,,,,Carriers dictate, Not the Brokers. When you guys start understanding that, Transportation will move a little more freely. And dont start with your "Free Market" "Business 101" Jabber either, Hearing that Noise for years.......

Again, Just to refresh your memories,I use you guys periodically, Im speaking up for those who need a voice.

Yes, when you presume to tell a broker how much his commission should be you are dictating to us and a hypocrite. Carriers can dictate their rate, your power ends there.

Plus I rarely see a carrier attempt to justify their rates. Why should I pay you 3.50 a mile when the lane's average is 2.50? hmm? What makes you stand out above the rest of the pack? Inquiring minds want to know.

Why are you working with carriers that cant justify their rate? You like those inexperienced,Loyal,Owner-ops whom dont know left from right dont you?

My power does NOT end when I dictate to you what the rate is needed on that lane, Because 9 times out of 10, You guys are 25% UNDER market to us, Dont play me a fool ok?

Go "use" the less knowledged so your bottom line is endless......Folks like you Ruin transportation with your uncanny ways in hurting the less fortunate(Novice carriers)

You guys could never do that to the majority of us though, We know Lanes, Market values and what Shippers are paying Spot freight or not, You only make yourself Look like a horses ### when you Throw the numbers out to us like you do.

So once again, Once you understand things, the better for all parties

I like how you ASSume to know me and my ways. If this is your regular dialogue I'm surprised you even manage to not drive away everyone that meets you, much less run a business. Either way You've proven yourself to be a very bitter, ranting waste of my time. Maybe when you learn to not paint everyone with the same brush you might be worth consideration, until then go play in traffic.

Quit using your prolific college words, Your just a dumb broker,The general Public'
s view of a broker is a middleman getting in the way of everything, You are not wanted or needed, Shippers are becoming more and more awware of this Your just like MOST of them, I run a very tight and profitable operation and every chance I get to Let the Public know about folks like you i will,, You dont like it?, Tough.

You guys and the way you conduct business is And has always Been Classless,Shady and you people have Put so many out of business because Of your Greed........Sure, Those folks Dont have to use you, But you leave them little choice because of your customer greed.

its ok though..Things are changing (including for you) .Notice how Many shippers are Turning their backs on your deceptive practices? Yes, Even volume shippers too

And your right, I dont know you, But i dont have to either.......Your postings tell me everything i need to Know.

And that right there tells the whole story.
Why should you pay more to move your freight?
Why should a O/O move it for you at that rate?
Ever stop and think that developing a relationship with a few O/O's and you wouldn't have any trouble moving said freight?

Just remember you get what you PAY for.

I will still play, but, no games hear my friend. Brokers do ASK carriers what they want, due to several factors, the #1 is,,, the CUSTOMER/SHIPPER (whomever is paying the bill) tells the broker what THEY are willing to pay. What planet are you from?? LOL,,,, If it was solely up to the carriers to dictate what they wanted, the average consumer would not be able to purchase any goods unless they were millionaires!
I run both sides of the fence "stayinback", and if you say you also do, I will NOT believe you, not after reading your comments in this forum let alone this thread.
I actually figured (hoping actually) that you would come back with 5-10%, in which you are pretty accurate (I am proud of you). However, it does not reflect what you write in your threads. There still is hope for you though.
The next thing you may want to work on is the nastiness along with the arrogance that you portray on here. I would gamble to say that you "do" in fact talk to brokers on the phone as you do on here, in which will never get you anywhere with ANY good broker worth their salt, let alone if you tried to talk to a potential customer the same way.
Big hint,,,,,,, shhhhh, dont tell anyone, the economy is the largest factor of the "market rates", not the customer, and darn sure not the carriers, sad, but oh so true.

    Your turn :)
