I saw a futuristic movie where a janitor saved the world. He was buffing the floors with an electric buffer and accidently hit the wall and unplugged the extension cord going to the robots.

Well i have asked myself that same question? they promise the world i'm not a union driver living in Georgia but the Savannah Port has some strange O/O that act like the truck is yours when it comes time to pay with deductions? the being home every night got me with weekends off and 1500.00 a week! Yea I should of know better but trusting a man to keep his word now days is not when like my father and grandfather reared me that a man word is all he really has! but life goes on its a faze sometimes scammers hit trucking like everywhere else! most O/O are honest people but their are always a few who or out to get you all i want is a honest days pay for a honest days work, i keep my doors and as God is my witness other than sleep , fueling and my 30 min break i'm rolling! sometimes i run out time in the wrong place because i run my clock out, i know but as soon as i get a load i want to get it off my back and get another the pickup is what drives meChinatown and LoneRanger Thank this.

Back in the early 80's one of my neighbors was the president of the San Francisco Longshoreman's union. Nice guy, but the kind of person that when you shook hands with him you counted your fingers after the shake. I went into his garage one time and it was like a toy store of stolen merchandise. He had a full case of solid gold Rolex presidential watches. Not the fake Chinese knockoffs, the real ones. He has dozens of cases of very expensive wines, fresh meats and seafood delivered to his house daily. TV's, stereos, just about anything imaginable. All of it stolen from trucks and shipping containers by his union members. He wasn't shy about showing it all off, in fact he was proud of it. Knowing him left a permanent bad taste in my mouth regarding unions.
JC1971, bzinger, Dino soar and 1 other person Thank this. -
