Im a linehaul driver because my wife and I (mostly the wife) could really use the extra 20k/year. But I have the utmost repect city drivers and yes, it's harder work. And if city paid more than linehaul, I'd be in the city. It would be nice if any of the LTL's could figure out how to pay city drivers miles/stops/pieces pay with an hourly mimimum, like the foodservice companies do. Maybe that would be fair? That way, the 300 mile 20 stopper^^ would get paid his worth
