Most companies are always going to under estimate earning potential in print. You have to hustle to make 100k I will gross 106 to 114 this year as a driver.

Ya you keep thinking that. Its simple math here I will spell it out for you!
I push 72 hours a week worked six months on nights at $26.75 per hour with OT after 40 hrs or 88 hrs x 26.75 = 2354 gross per week x 26 weeks (six months) = $61,204
I now work days by choice $25.00 per hour with OT after 40 hrs or 88 x 25.00 = 2200 gross per week x 26 weeks (six months) = $57,200
    Grand total $118,404.00
But I am a conservative so 106 to 114k annually.

Like I said its simple math.

By the way I will be leaving for better pay and benefits with another company shortly more like close to $140k but I am sure that's inflated also LOL.

YOU WILL NEVER GET INTO HAULING CRUDE FOR TOP PAY BY SITTING BEHIND A KEY BOARD PERIOD! YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE PAVEMENT, HAVE A GOOD RECORD BOTH DRIVING AND CRIMINAL, NO SPILLS AND HUSTLE!

As far as North Dakota goes I almost went up there two years ago. But after running the numbers it wasn't worth it plus the hassle getting food and supplies (2 hours at Walmart no thank you). I know several guys who did it for 6 months to a year all said it wasn't worth it and are back here in Texas. I work with a Women who did 3 years up there hauling crude got roped into a lease program she's making more money here in Texas and actually went back up there two weeks ago to get the rest of her stuff and said Milk is $9 a gallon. Also said its like the wild west up there lots of crime. So I would be very very cautious about picking up and rolling to ND.

I pay $400 per month including utilities for my RV space that's a deal however most are $500 to 550 and food and supplies are appropriately priced and plentiful.

and again no proof. just your word. and i said most inflate.

I get top pay, work only 10 hour days, and get paid by percentage of load. get two days off a week. more than enough pay for me.

There you go. You make what you put into it (Hense the last part of my statement Hustle)! That is exactly my point you can pretty much coast and make 75 to 85k. If that's what your comfortable with that's fine people can break 100k just because you haven't wont or cant doesn't mean its not done. Hell most of the cruisers where I am at make 85K.

If there is anyone who is serious about working in South Central Texas Eagle Ford Shale there is money to be made. Don't listen to guys like this dude you can break 100K WITH EFFORT! Its not going to come easy and you wont do it working 10 hours a day that is for sure.

Everything takes work just like getting top pay and making the most possible.

If you want to hustle, break your back, all in the name of the dollar, that is your choice. I will make $100,000 this year in Wyoming, working 10 hour days. It is not about working hard, it is about working smart.

What works for one guy, will be hell on wheels for another..
And then the boom bust cycle of the oil field happens, and NOBODY makes $100,000 a year.

I do believe the $100K/year is possible hauling crude. I know a driver for one company makes about $400 per night. If he works 20 nights a month that is $8000/month x12 months that is $96,000. But the majority of crude haulers I run into are making $240-$320/ night. Sounds like you nailed a great gig Crudedude!

That is true a lot of guys are making that. That is usually will little experience either driving or hauling crude or both but there are some companies that just take advantage. I have said this before you will have to start somewhere and once you get 6 to 9 months hauling crude, beat the pavement and bounce to more money, better equipment and benefits.

As TLeaHeart said when its over non of will be making 100K or more that's why I believe in making it will its good, living below your means and saving.

The next position that I am taking will be commission and their night drivers make 30% more than day drivers! Crazy. Just to put it into perspective I have been trying to get in with this company for 9 months. I was told last week I am next on their hire roster but right now they have a hiring freeze so could be 3 weeks or 3 months I may go to work for them in another division LNG just to get it and transfer at some point to crude. They have a very high retention of drivers. Companies that pay over 100K and have insane benefits are hard to get in with. However I will be patient and persistent If it works great if not, I will leave my present job on good terms and go back.
