I’ve been in a few 9100s and 9200s from prior to 2000 with 10 speeds and N14s or Detroits. They weren’t anything fancy but they were solid trucks IMHO.

Like with most of them, they went downhill after the disappearance of the smoke window.

The 9900 is basically a 9200 with a set front axle. Probably very comparable, I just prefer their looks lol. A lot of pre 2000 trucks wouldn’t scare me, it just the new ones that are all Tupperware with tons of sensors and emissions BS on em that repulse me

surround yourself by cheap and cheap is what you get, I was 5.94 last quarter hauling chunky weight all over the north east and my truck ran profitable, guess if your just looking to buy a job and haul brokered trash you have to pinch Pennys while you can but that’s not the buisness model I’m using

I can do better then 5 even with the 235 volvo out back

What is the best automatic transmission get with a new international LT and the Cummins x15 engine?

    CHOICES:

    Eaton Endurant: 11, 12 speed
Eaton Fuller UltraShift PLUS: 13, 18 speed
    Eaton Fuller Advantage: 10 speed

Oil pick up tubes, the rings go bad on the dd15.

The o rings that connect the pick up tubes to the oil pump. To clarify. You will get low oil pressure at idle

Good idea to roll in new main and rod bearings. Takes a day if you get up early. Dealer used to quote $1400 for the job so I knew it wasn't too involved. Gives you a chance to see how things are wearing and check the crank surfaces. Instructions on quickserve enter your engine serial number. Need a torque wrench and a strong impact to set the main bolts, torque plus angle

Endurant is the same transmission paccar uses it’s very driver friendly .. the other two are finicky backing up and tend to rev higher I found plus they didn’t have the creep mode back when I tried them ..
