I Just Dug The Stretched Out Feeling With Axle Forward, Specifically In Pete's,
    K' Whoppers, and Occasional Freightshakers.
I REALLY DUG The Steering As It Felt Groovy To USE ALL AVAILABLE ROOM As Well Getting Creative With LOTS OF Pulls Forward to "Get Her In" To Questionable And Angled Docks And AVOIDING As Much As Possible, Driving Up And Off CURBINGS, When/Where Feasible.
It Was Fun When It Was!!

    CHEERS!!

I get any $$ spent to make money is a write off
But the part that doesn’t add up is if I make $100k and write off $50k in fuel then I pay tax on the remaining $50k
But. If I make $100k and my fuel is $30k that means I pay tax on $70k and that will also make my bottom line bigger for doing the same job but more efficiently

I hear it all the time. Guys will spend money on rent etc saying it’s a write off
You’re better off running efficiently and if you need more write offs then I purchase another business piece of equipment

I go to a lot of tight places. At most a hood might have to do an extra pull up or 2. There's really only 1 place I've been to a hood wouldn't fit, but I don't fit either. The yard dog puts it in the hole for you

I have owned 5 trucks now, one freightliner classic, rest were set back axels.
I miss the ride, and steering of the set forward axel. They handle batter, dont dart around and bump steer like the short trucks. Yes, they get better fuel mileage... I was looking for a hood as my last truck but with prices they way they are I'll be finishing in my columbia glider. Only have 2 years (or less) left.
    But I miss my classic.
If I had it to do all over again, I would still he driving it. Just would have kept rebuilding it. SL320 3.jpg

They’re all knockoffs. Used to be if you saw that long hood it meant there was a 3408, KT or a 12-71 under there. The most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in my life was a 379-127” with an M11 in it. Talk about “frontin’”

You need a forklift to open a W900L hood with a hood assist spring broken.

I guess after hearing out the crowd and researching I’m going back to my original plan.

    2013 Cascadia

Option 1. Swap DD15 out for a 12.7 S60, not sure I want to take a risk with possible sniffers. But I don’t visit California, north west, or north east so it could be safe.

Option 2. 2000-2003 Classic XL or Coronado with a bad engine and have it rebuilt.

Decisions decisions. Although I would like a W900 from what I can gather has none of the issues of a Pete and FL, even when the markets down, I’m not sure if I want to pay a premium for it.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

emissions are federal laws not state, just because your current state doesn’t check now, doesn’t mean they won’t in the future

oh I know, Reason why I’m highly debating the S60 conversion as if I do get stopped and some how I get that one LEO who knows what a 13 Cascadia should have under the hood would render my truck useless.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Not saying it’s right or that would do it myself, but who’s gonna know? DOT could care less, they check brakes and other small stuff, most of them couldn’t tell you anything about an engine or emissions components, they aren’t taught that stuff.

It’s not legal, but there are thousands and thousands of trucks that have had transplants.

Bean Jr., lester and Rubber duck kw Thank this.
