Maybe I didn't get the point because you stated the obvious and redundant theme played out everyday. Maybe I was hoping for something deeper... Wow!!! Guess I was wrong....[/QUOTE]

Mustang its all good i.see what your saying. Another problem is the bottom feeder companies and.their brokerages will snag good load and leave crap out there.

Very true i know that happens all the time its up us to get the rates up.Like u said these bttom feeders are the worst but if guys just didnt even call in on the garbage the brokers would give better rates and so on.what ever we haul has to get there and they are gonna pay or they dont make money sometimes if a few guys did dead head outof somewhere instead of taking 80cpm that same load would tripple but like you said a bottom feeder large carrier could eatthe cost paying a driver 30cpm.

Cheap freight? What is cheap freight? What you call cheap maybe different for different people. As you know the rates are different for different products. Lets say you have a load of "A" coming out of Dallas, TX going to NYC. The load pays $9750. At 1545 miles this load pays $6.30 per mile. I am in NYC and I can't find anything like that here and I need to get back to Dallas to pick up another load for NYC. I can either dead head back or find a load that pays $1500 and head out. If I was willing to dead head back the $1500 is all profit to me.

Owner Operators are in business for themselves. We wish you well but it is not our job to make you money. We have our own families to take care of. This is a supply and demand market not a controlled market.

The "A" load going to NYC is more valuable then the load coming from NYC. Should all loads be the same rate?

ACT hauls tires out of Lawton, Oklahoma and brings them to KC. From KC to Lawton they haul recycled cardboard. Those two do not pay the same rate.

You can complain or you can learn the business. Personally, I like to complain. I am an American and it is my right. We haul cheap freight because Obama makes us. Vote him out.

Actually they probably do pay pretty close to the same. I would bet a year ago the cardboard load paid more but now the tire load pays more because the market from Texas has gotten better in the last year.

By the way OBAMA has nothing to do with cheap freight the country was in the gutter way before he got in office they just covered it up for 8 years.I guess he to blame for the little old lady losing her house in 2007 when he wasnt even in office..LOL
