Rollin,
Thats harsh, I am assuming between the time you talked to them, and the time they got around to sending a confirmation, the guy came in and quoted $1,000, otherwise I would make a note about that broker and watch him in the future...
Why are o/o always complianing?

If they been in business 30 yrs ... They must be doing something right! -
No, confirmation was never on it's way, they were waiting on the customer to get back to them and ok the price quote I put in for $1,400. In the mean time someone else up late on Saturday night saw an opportunity. It's not a broker I work with but we as a company do work with them quiet a bit. They don't seem so generous going up on rate as my go-to people are. My go-to brokers would have given me that without hesitation. I'm not mad about it freight will always move for the cheapest price. More than once I've even told my go-to people if you can get it moved cheaper go for it normally I get the load at my rate. -
Thats not too bad then, Ive had that happen before, between the time I hang up, thinking we have the load, to the time I think the load confirmation should be there, generally 5-10 min 20 min at the max if the broker gives me notice, that they have given it way cheaper, which is fine, but typically I wont deal with brokers that do that for the simple fact, if I cant trust you, I wont work with you.
