I've noticed a similar trend of untruths with oil here. There's a thread about Delvac being like 60 dollars a gallon at Truck World in Hubbard OH. I personally stopped in there twice and both times the price was around 30 dollars. Plenty of Chicken Littles here.Pamela1990 and dwells40 Thank this.

New orders probably have slowed when people don’t know when their trucks are showing up. But I will tell you that if you order now it won’t be 8 to 12 months. They will tell you what you want to hear to get your deposit and get you on the list. Facts I do know: one of my best friends is dealing with KW in Yakima specing a new W900 and right now he’s looking at a 2023 build spot. Peterbilt in Sioux City is already sold out for 2022 because they’ve been allotted 24 trucks for the whole year. Peterbilt in Cedar Rapids is sold out for 2022 also. My new truck has been sitting in a field in Denton for nearly 2 months now waiting for an ECU for the ABS. Also just looking at Truckpaper it’s pretty obvious nobody has any new trucks to sell and some of the adds are already mentioning 2023 delivery, not to mention you can take delivery of a new truck and flip it for roughly $40k profit right now.shooter19802003, TheLoadOut, Midwest Trucker and 6 others Thank this.

2023 trucks will be out around September 2022, so yes, that is about right.

I don’t know how it’s spec’d but it’s underpriced.

Well, at the end of the day, if anybody really knew what the market will do, they wouldn’t be on here talking about it. They would be too busy getting rich.
It’s pretty well proven that the market goes up and the market goes down, so that’s bound to happen again, but nobody knows when that will happen or to what extent.shooter19802003, ProfessionalNoticer, Pamela1990 and 2 others Thank this. -
Same with Volvoshooter19802003 and Midwest Trucker Thank this.

Why are Semi Trucks So expensive?
Because there are too many stupid people, and too many banks that are willing to repo the truck in 8-12 months.shooter19802003, Pamela1990 and dwells40 Thank this. -
