I thought higher wages makes your burgers too expensive?

Definitely a shortage. 12-18 months ago the KW dealer here had probably 100 new units on the lot. Hardly any now. Even Ritchie's yard has hardly anything on it.

My best friends wife was sales coordinator for a peterbilt shop, she said there was a time frame a few months back the salesman couldn't even price a new truck. System was shut down for weeks because they didn't have any idea when they would be caught up.
Slightly used trucks selling for more than new. That doesn't happen without reason

Meh, he paid lip service to it, but did very little to actualize mfg back in the usa.

Biden like clinton, bush jr, obama simply dont care or understand economics in the broader strokes enough to think it might be a good idea. Biden has narrow focuses that he wants "usa made" stuff, but hes about 10 years too late and policy to shape anything lags need 5 years minimum and needs 5 years to come to fruition

Before this gets cancelled as a political post, personally, I think the economy is too far gone for one party or person to fix it. It's going to take something we aren't ready to accept, until then, the rich will get richer, and the poorer, well, can't get much poorer, and why many are resorting to "smash and grab", they have nothing to lose. Pretty hard for a country to succeed when peoples incomes are so far apart. It's a casualty of Capitalism. Socialistic governments always instill fear in us Yanks, but we've clearly exploited Capitalism to it's limits, I'm not sure what's in store for the future. Another old man billionaire? Got to get away from that.
