Why are Volvos so much better than all other Class 8 trucks?

my 379 is quiet, I don’t have to scream at my passenger. I don’t stay in a long long enough to need a table and all that junk. When I park I sleep.

78k, lol. really? That's nothing. Get back to us at 500k. It shouldn't be squeaking then either. Not even the new Freightliners do that.

My company runs Volvo 670's and Frieghtliner Cascadia's... The Volvo I'm in will be getting traded in before the end of the year... But all the new trucks we are getting this fall are Cascadia's... I went to the boss and told him I would rather the oldest Volvo in the fleet over a brand new Frieghtliner... He said no problem, when my truck goes down the road I get one of the newest Volvo's in the fleet. I can't stand the Frieghtliners!!!

448k on my volvo, not one rattle, squeak, or whistle. And everything works perfectly.

Probably doesn't even burn any oil does it? Might get low right before an oil change is due. a 50k oil change.

It does burn a very small amount of oil... But never had to add more than 1/2 gallon between 50k oil changes. That's just cause I'm particular about my oil level... If its down enough to take a quart I top it off.

I have one with 1.9 mil, one with 1.2 mil and one with 1.1. No rattles, solid and drive quietly and comfortable like cars

I have Volvo envy. My company got a couple new 760’s and I’m trying to figure out how to get one. Im new and have zero seniority. The 2019 international Prostar I’m in is nice. Nice like your best friends girlfriends BFF who they’re trying to set you up with. Not what you want.

I have a new 860. Its just an upgraded 780 with some new features. Very nice truck. The ishift is the best auto going and has been for some time.

You can tell a lot about a company by the trucks they buy for their drivers. Most are speced for max fuel economy with driver comfort as an afterthought. One of the cool little details that surprised me about my Volvo was that they actually pipe air through the door panel and direct it up the window so your arm stays toasty warm during the coldest winter drives and the glass doesn’t fog up. Just a couple weeks ago I discovered a storage nook behind each seat big enough to hold a portable radio and large flashlight.
