That is TCS.
I just checked and I think you have the app set up to show cash price. Click on one of the stops and see if you have a discount.

Carriers asking for $1000 more for a 300 mile run and or brokers squeaking about fuel surcharges etc. now $1000 more may be warranted if the pay sucks to begin with. But, if it is decent already and I’m squeezing them a bit more it is pretty easy to toss out some real world numbers at them as well as quality of loads coming out. Not throwing out insane numbers unless you just don’t want the load and like wasting time.

By my fuzzy math if fuel prices are $5.20 and last time I fueled I paid $3.59 it cost me approximately .29 cents more per gallon to run a load. 700 miles would be approx $180 more. I have no doubt if I really want a load I can squeeze double that or more out of them to cover cost variables depending on where it goes. Now understand. I’m not talking about garbage paying loads. I am talking loads worth calling on.

Prices suck. But not a deal breaker.

What your saying makes sense to me,but I also think that it has to do a lot with the price of everything going up besides fuel.

I agree, hence I would ask for at least double what I think the extra fuel will cost. Again this would be on a fair load already. Not a crap one because I just don’t waste the time calling if the rate already sucks.

And furthermore……rising costs of EVERYthing else…..parts unavailability, free money being given out everywhere (I wish) and the price of beer is out the door…..besides being out of stock. Nothing funny about it but lol!

Did this today on a lane I run. Upped price $500 on 1300 mile run. They didn’t like it much but they went ahead and did it. I have a very good relationship with this broker and that helps when explaining the cost.

If 1 gal is $10 then it is $2500.
The loop pays $5600 today. Last week $6000, the one before the last $6400. The trend is forming and at some point, the critical level can be reached. If the fuel price goes up at this rate, it will be sooner rather than later.
