    1) I was refering to taking a mandated break at a reciever... and signing on as a independent contractor lumper... hate to break it to you, but this is happening already.

    2) Who's lying? The burden of proof is set on the prosecution, my logs are accurate...to the closest 15 min.... they MUST prove that they are not in some way. Oh, yeah... and I'm sure EVERYTHING that EVER goes in a law enforcement report is the ABSOLUTE truth too, huh? LEO's NEVER lie do they?

So the HOS has in fact increased accidents? They have either increased or decreased. Which is it?

And which source would you prefer for those numbers. The only complete ones are NTSB, or the LTCCS conducted by the

    FMCSA.http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/facts-research/research-technology/analysis/ltccs.htm

    http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/facts-research/research-technology/report/ltccs-2006.htm

    or the simpler version

    http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/facts-research/LTBCF2009/tbl2.htm

Or will you take opinions of people who have spent exhaustive hours going over them?

People like Todd Spencer, who while a self serving is supposed to be "the drivers voice"

While I disagree with drivers being so experienced being the only reason(*) for the reduction he readily agrees there has been one.

Truly to continue a rational discussion you need to answer the simple question posed.

    * While experienced and well trained drivers should be promoted, and did play a role they were not solely responsible. Further there was no other source for this decline of new drivers other than OOIDA who is highly suspect in their examinations.

As long as you do not leave North Dakota, you get 12 hours of driving. Figure that one on e-logs....

select the appropriate regulation under the change regulation tab, or you company will just select it for you if you aren't able to change it yourself. Next?

You are required to list all on duty hours. Regardless of company worked for. Now in a review they will ask for all bills pertaining to a given load including payment for loading unloading.

When they get them and the driver being listed as the lumper the lie is exposed and in general the people killed by said driver win their case. Or the FMCSA has a nice long conversation about conditional's definition and acceptable terms of payment:biggrin_25525:

Can it be lied about and concealed short term? Sure. Take an experienced investigator about an afternoon to expose it.

    Please explain.

Tue & Wed I ran from Minto ND to Williston ND then back to Grand Forks ND then back to Minto ND.

    Odo read 710 miles.

Ran Walsh county highway 15 over to ND highway 18 down to ND highway 2 and took that west to ND highway 85 then north a few miles then took ND highway 2 back to Grand Forks then I29 up to Manvel ND then hopped on ND 81 north back to Minto.

My average real time speed was 60 mph. This was due to my truck being governed out.

My, real time 11, ran out about Arvilla ND. Which is about 20 miles west of Grand Forks ND.

Before they Governed out my truck, I could average about 64 mph for the trip. Sure I pushed the speed limit by a couple mph but it was nto anything to get the HP in a huff about. Right now I can't even drive the posted speedlimit on Highway 2 which is 70 mph.

Wed was a different story, Ran into weather out west of Rugby ND, snow and ice covered roads all the way to Williston area. I tell you right now, if you run into wet roads etc west of Bethold ND, you better slow down. All the oil patch trucks are dragging dirt and slimy mud onto the roads and they are slicker then snot. There were many cars and trucks in the ditches. I was able to use the weather extension that day.

But I am not doing that run any more. Told the boss that until he raises the speed gov on the truck, I can't do the run anymore. I lost 40+ miles of available driving miles because he had the trucks speed cut back. The Grand Forks guys can make it with 68 mph trucks because they have about 40 less miles to drive then I do.

Either that or he is going to have to give me more notice about the run so I can drive out the day before and camp out there then load, hump back to GF, unload, fuel and hump back towards Williston till my time runs out then camp again. I am also going to require more % since I will have extra expenses since I will be camping rather then eating etc at home with my family.
