oh yea got detention; ended up being almost $200/day
-
no detention pay with transam. they want trailers there early is the only reason and that is to keep the customer happy
I have learned to never get there at the first part of the appt there is always 2 times on meat and chiken loads. I also plan to do my shopping cleaning laundry while waiting
I always get at least a room once a week so those are the spots along with 34 hour resets if needed
being a meat hauler it just is the way it is
never was your truck before you pick up every lot is dirty and dusty
of course the whole midwest is dusty this year -
haven't been to kraft have you.....
DirtyBob Thanks this. -
Not only do they take forever, I usually had to come back with up to six full pallets that the receiver refused due to too close to expiration product from Kraft. Luckily, it was when I was local and it was only a two hour drive back and all hourly so whatever.
Ralph's in Compton has always been a 20+ hour ordeal for me almost every time. Yet you go to the one in Riverside with the same load and you'll be out in two hours. -
i should have lived with you last 3 days dirtybob spent a night in barstow ontario then hesperia
not many miles plenty of hours driving around LA -
i think the issue might be them #### chickens i mean you take their heads off and they still running around .....i just envision every now and then mexicans chasing around headless chickens when i was hauling out of tyson many years ago
-
When they catch the chickens, do they choke them?
CAXPT Thanks this. -
I got held up at ralphs in Riverside for 17 hrs.
-
That would explain the excessive time all right. Chicken chokers choking them chickens.
