No I didn't lay any claims to being fast and smooth but I get by. I've been driving the same truck since ~2008 and the trans is still there. There's alot that are better than me I am sure.
Good for you. I'm happy you're happy. However, that really carries no weight with me because I don't find shifting a problem. Maybe you do but I don't. I have 1.2 million miles on my current ride without a single transmission problem. No trips to the dealer for software upgrades. No tows. Not a clutch. Nothing. Oops, I did replace the clutch brake.
You and Vic are right tho. I really need an auto.
Why do alot of people dislike auto trucks please explain

Is that a threat?
LOL. Are you really feeling that inadequate? Way to go weirdo....that is just a little over the edge don't you think?
I'm sure TTR loves to have users such as you threatening to hack into the forum.
I understand. You realize that you have utterly and completely lost this debate and since you have nothing more to offer, you lash out like a cornered rat, trying to get the thread locked down. All over an automatic transmission.

I'll say it again for you troll. I DON'T NEED AN AUTO.
I know a guy with three auto trucks for sale. He had drivers in them but guess what. He can't sell them. No owner op will touch them.
Fact of the matter is 99% of all those that love to brag about "their automatics" have never OWNED one. You are bragging about someone else's transmission in someone else's truck like a kid on the playground.

try4thesky Thanks this. -
Because stupid rednecks think that they can shift more efficiently than a computer.

I like how a guy called "Buck" is calling out "stupid rednecks". That's rich. See, Buck, the "stupid rednecks" who "think they can shift better than a computer", well, they have a point. The stupid redneck can see the road, and the conditions, grade, etc, and make an educated decision on what gear that truck needs to go down that hill. And stupid rednecks have been doing that for a long time, successfully. That computer is going to shift that truck because some dick in a suit decided it needs to shift at XXXX RPMs no matter what, and now the driver has no control over what happens. So my vote goes to the "Stupid Rednecks", who, I guess I'm a part of.kuzima93, try4thesky and rank Thank this.
