Why do Brokers Play 20 Questions?

I don't recall getting the 3rd degree from a broker.
Just the usual truck #, trailer #, pick up # (that I got from dispatch).
Here's the info...here are directions..call us when you're loaded.

Call again after loading. BoL #. Seal #. Weight. Pieces.
Here's the directions. Call us when you're empty.

Once place wanted me to call in the next day after I took my break but that was it.
