What's to get? You have to drive slow or choose to so you think everyone else should too?

Just wanted to comment on the OP...first time I saw this thread.

The truck I'm driving is governed at 65. I wish it were 68. 70 would be ok, but 68 lets you pass all the slow trucks without being in the left lane too long, and keeps you moving.

I'm doing this dedicated run from MI to TX and back. Going down there with the empty auto racks, I'm getting 7.5 mpg. Coming back loaded, I wonder how much difference it will be. The trailer I have has one of them side skirts, too - something I've not had before.

I support trucks being governed at 72. I don't think a truck should be going over 72mph in any circumstance. I'm not sure how I feel about it being mandated by the Feds...but at the same time I can't think of any logical reason why a truck needs to go faster than 72.

ok, ur a student so u don't know. just because u own a fast truck or u drive one doesn't mean that the fast truck days are still here. back in the late 80 when drivers use to race so to speak to see who had the fastest truck it was all in good fun & there were plenty of fast trucks around back then, where are they now? u don't see them no more cause no body has them; it's a thing of the past. u go speeding down the highway, get pulled over for speeding, points on ur license, etc. is it worth it? not hardly which is why u don't see them trucks no more like u used to see. if u can't figure out what i'm saying, i don't know what else to tell u
